be able to get their hands on the rumored game for a while.
Grand Theft Auto 6 release date is likely to
disappoint a lot of fans, in case this claim is true. Rockstar Games’ Grand
Theft Auto or GTA series is one of the most popular action-adventure games for
computers ever since it was first released in 1997. The last instalment of the
game was released as GTA V in September 2013, and fans have been speculating
about the release date of the next version, which is being referred to as Grand
Theft Auto 6. However, while previous leaks had pointed to a possible 2023
release date for the next version of the game, a new report has made an even
more sensational statement by suggesting that gamers may have to wait a lot
longer to get their hands on the game.
Grand Theft Auto 6, the successor to the
extremely popular GTA V game is expected to launch as late as 2025, according
to a report by PC Gamer. Most estimates had suggested that Rockstar Games could
bring the next version of the game after two years, the report suggests that
the company’s upcoming title is still in the early development stage and will
bring an important change to the in-game map.
The report also cites a recent video posted by
Call of Duty and Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson on YouTube, that showed off
new features that might be there on GTA 6. The video had claimed that the next
GTA game could also bring multiple playable characters just like the current
version of the game – GTA 6 could also add a new hacker role for the
protagonist in the game.
However, one of the biggest revelations from
Henderson’s video is the rumored changes to the game’s map on GTA 6. Unlike
previous versions of the game where the map was static, the next version could
feature an evolving map that can be updated and changed over time, just like
popular games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty Mobile. Henderson claims that
the game might release in 2024 or 2025, which is a year or two behind the previous
estimates.
The report further states that Bloomberg
reporter Jason Schreier has corroborated Henderson’s claims in the video.
"Idk why everyone thinks that I said GTA VI was coming in 2023. Everything
Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I've heard."
Schreier said in a tweet. He also stated that GTA 6 was still in early
development and would feature an evolving and expanding map.
